Big Brother romances

We’ve spent many a summer watching as the housemates move in to the Big Brother house and lock eyes with that special someone they will spend the next few weeks flirting outrageously with. But did any of them survive outside of the house? We take a look back at the couples that love blossomed and those that were evicted from the relationship.

Alex Sibley and Melanie Hill
Despite not actually being the same series together these two ex-housemates got together and found love. But after a few years things turned sour and the couple split and ended up in court fighting for custody of their pet dog Poppy.

Paul Clarke and Helen Adams
This couple met in BB2 and even though Helen had a boyfriend on the outside the pair spent the summer flirting. After leaving the house their love blossomed and they were together for 5 years but split but still remain good friends.

Stuart Wilson and Michelle Bass
Who could forget this couples “private time” under the table in BB5! But unlike most of the other Big Brother romances this was more of an obsession with Michelle spending most of her time trying to get her claws into poor Stuart. It was safe to say this couple fizzled out soon after the show.

Tom McDermott and Claire Strutton
When this couple shared a house in the very first Big Brother nobody would have ever guessed that they would end up togther. Tom spent most of the time flirting with Melanie Hill and Claire enjoyed a fake romp with Craig Phillips. But once the cameras stopped rolling the couples love blossomed and they had a baby but have since split up.

Lee Davey and Sophie Pritchard
Bodybuilder Lee spent his first few weeks of BB3 flirting with Adele but soon switched his attention to Sophie when she came into the house to replace Sunita. But the pair managed to resist until they were both evicted and Lee had ditched his then girlfriend. The couple later got married and had a child but sadly split up in 2006.

Ziggy Lichman and Chanelle Hayes
Known to all as Chiggy this couple spent more of the time in the house arguing then they did getting along. So it was no wonder that they had a number of public bust-ups after coming out of the house and are no longer together.

Mikey Dalton and Grace Adam Short
In BB7 Mikey and Grace got together and soon after leaving announced that they were getting married. Surprisingly 2 years on they are the only couple from Big Brother that are still together. But will they make it down the aisle? Keep an eye on the glossies to find out.
