Simon's Sorry To Idol Winner

Simon Cowell’s apologised to American Idol winner David Cook for some of the comments he made about him on the show.

Right before he was announced as the winner, “Mr Nasty” told the 25-year-old rocker that the remarks he made the the episode the night were "verging on disrespectful."

Simon relented: "When I went back home and watched it, it wasn't quite so clear cut as we called it."

Meanwhile, winner David took a moment to get his first endorsement blurted out on network US TV.

When his success was confirmed he screamed: “I’m going to Disney World!”

The Idol tie-in relates to the new American Idol attraction opening at Walt Disney World in Florida in January 2009.
