Shrek Pulls In TV Huge Figures

Almost 21 million people tuned in in the US to watch the Shrek Christmas TV special last week.

As a result, Shrek the Halls – which aired on the ABC network - easily scored the week's most watched holiday offering.

No word yet though on when we’ll get to see it on UK TV.

Shrek The Halls even beat the traditional coverage of the switching on of the Christmas lights on the tree in New York’s Rockefeller Centre.

Just 8.9 million people watched that, giving it 36th place in the ratings.

Shrek was last seen on the big screen in Shrek the Third, just released on DVD over here in the UK, the year's second-biggest grossing movie in the States.

No word yet if he plans to get into the Easter special business.
