Check out what how your baby is developing this week: -

• Many babies born at this stage have survived with the help of hospital intensive care, but this is by no means guaranteed.
  
• The biggest problem is that the lungs aren't really finished, so if the foetus came out early it would need help to breathe.
• The foetus still looks thin compared to the roly-poly Anne Geddes postcard-style baby, but is starting to get plumper.
