He might be 63-years-old but Rod Stewart promises he’s nowhere near retirement.
In fact, he’s considering reinventing himself with a movie, an R&B album, and maybe even a fling with country and western music.
He’s told journalists in the US: "I'd love to make a movie, just for posterity."
However, don’t expect it to be an action thriller, he is thinking more along the lines of
Martin Scorsese's recent Rolling Stones' documentary Shine a Light.
He added: "There is still this R&B album I want to do. There's a Country and Western album I'd love to do, although the record company doesn't want it."
"We are still in the throes of talking about it. I very much doubt whether we will get it done this year."
Rod kicks off his latest tour in California on July 30 before hitting Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Tampa, Florida.
Two Canadian stops are planned for Toronto and Montreal.
Rod added that he would continue performing until he is 70-years-old.
He explained: "I do love it. I actually enjoy this job that I do. I probably would miss it."
