Patrick's Cancer Fight

Both Patrick Swayze's doctor and his agent are denying stories that the star has only weeks to live.

The 'Dirty Dancing' star has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is "responding well" to treatment while he continues to work on his acting projects.

Patrick's mum, the dancer and choreographer Patsy Swayze says "he has great doctors and a great prognosis".

Here's the statement from Dr Fisher - who is treating the actor:

"Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far.

"All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue.

"We are considerably more optimistic."
