Eric Bana’s been signed up the play the baddie in the new Start Trek movie.

The actor – who is best known for movies including The Hulk, and Munich - will fill the role of Nero. That’s all we know.

Details about plot and other characters in the new film are being kept under tight security.

What we do know about the film – which be directed by the guy behind Mission; Impossible III and Lost, J.J. Abrams – is that the original Spock, Leonard Nimoy, has also signed up, but Captain Kirk, William Shatner, won’t be in it – so far.

It’s also claimed the movie – the 11th in the franchise – might also star James McAvoy as Scotty.
