Footballing legend, ELO fan, Sussex Hula Hoop Champion 1985 and now 'head of getting London going' in the mornings, I live in West London with two little dogs, two cats and my wife.

Presenting Heart Breakfast is brilliant fun; I get to interview big stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Daniel Craig as well as two of my heroes, Julio Iglesias and Kermit The Frog. There's no need to dress up at 5am so I generally appear on the radio dressed as either a scruffy fisherman or a scruffy farmer, depending on which big jumper is less dirty.

I represented my county in fencing - Sussex 1985.

Do you have any bad habits?
Harriet doesn’t like the way my chair squeaks in the studio. I think you know what I’m saying.

Have you ever told a lie and what was it?
I told the boss I’d done this before.

Have you ever flirted on the Tube?
No, but I have flirted underground on a potholing weekend in South Wales.
