Plans For HSM 4 Announced

Work’s started on High School Musical 3.

Production on the movie – which is subtitled Senior Year – has kicked off as Disney bosses confirmed there WILL be a fourth instalment.

The third film will be the first in the series to get a full cinema release (that will happen in October) rather than going straight to DVD.

Disney Channel Worldwide chief Rich Ross confirmed: "We are writing High School Musical 4."

However he wouldn’t say whether or not the any of the original cast members would return for that project.

Zac Efron is now a huge star in his own right while Vanessa Hudgens has already expressed doubt about coming back again.

Rich explained: "Are we going to have all of the cast back? Probably not. Will we have some of them? I hope so."
