Andrew Lloyd Webber is to make a guest appearance on the number one rated US television show, American Idol.
On Wednesday night's live results show, presenter Ryan Seacrest announced that the award-winning composer and producer will join the list of top musical talents who have made appearances on American Idol as mentors.
He will appear on the current series of American Idol alongside other legendary artists who include Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton and Neil Diamond.
As a mentor, he will not only share his expertise with this season's finalists, but will enable audience members to experience the musical theatre genre.
American Idol has been a big ratings hit in the US since it began in 2002.
Andrew will be juggling his appearance on American Idol with his appearances on the current BBC 1 show I'd Do Anything in which he is leading a nationwide search for new West End stars to take on the roles of Oliver and Nancy in the forthcoming production of Oliver!
