Blackfriars Underground station closure

Blackfriars Underground station, which is on the District and Circle Lines, is to close from 2 March 2009 until late 2011 as part of Network Rail's Thameslink upgrade programme.

Transport for London are advising that you use Temple or Mansion House stations instead.

The overground station is to remain open during these upgrade works.

White City and Shepherds Bush

Major new transport facilities are opening in the White City and Shepherds Bush area ahead of the new Westfield London Shopping Centre. You can get more details of the new facilities here

Tube Compensation

Bus Strike

First and Metroline bus drivers are currently on strike for 24 hours. The strike started at 3am this morning, and is expected to continue until 3am tomorrow morning.

A number of routes are not running at all, or have a very reduced service.

Roadworks

M1, there are long term roadworks between Junction 6a, M25 and Junction 9, A5. There's also a 50mph speed limit in place.

M25, the anti-clockwise entry slip road at Junction 3, M20 is closed because of roadworks.

M25, the clockwise entry slip road at Junction 5, Sevenoaks is closed because of roadworks.

M25, the anti-clockwise entry slip road at Junction 9, Leatherhead is closed because of roadworks.

M25, the anti-clockwise entry slip road is closed at Junction 15, M4 because of roadworks.

M25, the anti-clockwise exit slip road at Junction 15, M4 is closed because of roadworks,

M25, there are restrictions in place clockwise between Junction 16, M40 and Junction 17, Rickmansworth because of long term resurfacing works.

M25, the clockwise entry slip road at Junction 20, Kings Langley is closed because of roadworks.

M20, there are narrow lanes in both directions between Junction 3, M26 and Junction 4, Leybourne because of long term roadworks. There is also a 50 mph speed limit in place.

M20, the eastbound entry slip road at Junction 6, Maidstone is closed because of roadworks.

M4, there are narrow lanes in both directions because of bridge maintenance works at Junction 6, Slough / Windsor.

M4, the westbound exit slip road at Junction 4B, M25 is closed because of roadworks.

In Richmond, Hill Street is closed southbound, between Red Lion Street and Richmond Bridge, because of roadworks.

In Shepherds Bush, Wood Lane is closed northbound between Uxbridge Road and South Africa Road, because of roadworks.
