Host Jon Thanks His Writers

Jon Stewart’s thanked the writing team who helped come up with his material for the Oscars.

After the show he gathered his staff to the side of the stage and told them: "You did such an awesome job, great job, really, really nice job."

Oscars producer Gil Cates saw what was happening and joined in.

He added: "Guys I gotta hug all of you. I think I'm older than all of you put together."

"You let it come to you. You let it come. I think the crowd was ready to have fun."
