A contingency plan has been drawn up for the Oscars if the writer's strike continues.
The glitzy Hollywood bash is due to take place at the end of February and producers have planned two shows to cover every eventuality that could occur.
If unions don't reach an agreement then the TV slot dedicated to the awards will be filled with film clips and historical segments but if all's well the red carpet will be rolled out live as usual.
