Hayden's Teen Hero Pride

Hayden Panettiere says it’s her job to be a good role model for young fans.

The Heroes actress has told Teen magazine in the US:  "For God knows what reason, they compare me with Lindsay Lohan!"

"It's kind of become, 'All right, you guys can stay there and try knocking me off my horse.' I want to prove them wrong now."

The 18-year-old says she couldn’t be any less like other celebrities her age, and she’s happy about that.

Hayden’s explained: "I think that, now more than ever, young girls need a good role model."

"My mum always says, 'You are the books you read and the people you surround yourself with."
