Ricky & Bianca Reunited

Soap favourite Ricky Butcher is returning to EastEnders.

Sid Owen's comeback follows news that Patsy Palmer has signed up to rejoin the BBC1 soap as Ricky's ex, bolshy Bianca.

But while Bianca is down on her luck, Ricky has done well for himself and has a gorgeous Wag-style fiancee.

Viewers will see whether Ricky still feels something for his former flame.

Diederick Santer, executive producer of the soap, said: "First Patsy comes home, now Sid!"

"I'm thrilled to welcome Sid Owen back to EastEnders. Ricky and Bianca were a hugely popular and well-loved partnership on the show, spawning one of the best and perhaps most irritating of TV catchphrases ("Rickaaaaaay!")."

"They are both now living their own lives, and there's been a good deal of water under the bridge. But could the old spark reignite?"

Sid starred in the soap for 12 years after first appearing in 1988 and returned in 2002 to do another two years.

He recently came third in the jungle show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

Patsy first joined the show in 1993 and quit in 1999.

Other EastEnders comebacks have included Dirty Den (Leslie Grantham), his daughter Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp).
