X-Men spin-off movie Wolverine has got a release date.
The film – which will once again see Hugh Jackman don his leather-and-claws garb - will be directed by the same guy who has made Jake Gyllenhaal’s latest movie Rendition, Gavin Hood.
Shooting is due to get under way in Australia and New Orleans in the next few weeks.
Wolverine is expected to feature many other mutants plus, according to reports, Scream star Liev Schreiber as a younger version of nemesis William Stryker, played by Brian Cox in X2.
The new movie will explore Wolverine's violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program, as well as his encounters with other mutants.
