Orlando Denies Princely Deal

Orlando Bloom won’t be starring in a new blockbuster movie trilogy based on the Prince of Persian video game.

Rumours doing the rounds claimed he’d beaten Zac Effron to the role, had signed on the dotted line with a $40 million payday – however Walt Disney Pictures say that’s not true.

What we do know about the project is that Mike Newell – the guy who made Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – will be directing the movie which is due to start filming at Pinewood Studios just outside London.

The movie is expected to hit cinemas in June 2009.
