Laddered tights could be a thing of the past after scientsts created a self-mending material.
Boffins in France have invented an elastic substance that can stitch itself back together again. Just by holding the torn sections together, the article cleverly stitches itself back together again.
Just think of the far-reaching consequences this could have for your wardrobe! Nights wouldn't be ruined by a tear in your tights, shoes would last longer your favourite jeans wouldn't wear out as quickly. Wonderful.
But don't get your hopes up quite yet... it may take a little while to be utilised in the fashion world. It's developers are first investigating how this could be used in the medical world to help repair damaged bone.
