Madonna's Hall Of Fame

Madonna’s going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

Also getting the honour next year will be folk rock singer songwriter Leonard Cohen, rock hit John Mellencamp, British 60s pop group The Dave Clark Five and instrumental rockers The Ventures.

The inductees have been chosen by 600 music industry professionals.

Among the acts that didn’t make the cut this year were Donna Summer, Chic and The Beastie Boys.

Artists become eligible for the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first single or album.

The inductees with honoured at a ceremony in New York on March 10.
