Some good news for Sir Paul McCartney for a change - he'll receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the BRIT Awards 2008.
The event at Earls Court in London is being hosted by The Osbournes - you can watch the mayhem unfold on ITV1 from 8pm.
Sir Paul's told Heart it'll be all eyes on the UK, saying: “The same as the Oscars, the Grammy’s this is the biog one for Britain.”
“There’s be a lot of good music, a lot of singing and duff presenters… previously duff presenters I should say. This year is going to be outstanding.”
He’s also told Heart about the truth behind his BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music Award.
Sir Paul explained: “The outstanding contribution was when I contributed a tenner a long time ago to one of the show’s producers and still hasn’t paid me back so he’s decided to give me this award instead…”
