Britney Spears’ lawyers have returned to court for the first scheduled custody hearing since she was hospitalized - again.

Although it’s believed to be unlikely, it's possible the 26-year-old - who hasn't seen her two sons since her January 3 standoff with police - could be awarded some temporary physical access.

At the moment Britney is only allowed to talk top them over the phone.

Kevin Federline - her former husband, backup dancer and the father of Jayden and Preston - is seeking full physical custody.

Los Angeles attorney Sorrell Trope has asked - for the second time – to be released from the case as he no longer wants to represent Britney.
