Judge Lets Britney Phone Home

Britney Spears has been allowed to speak with her children for the first time in ages – but only by telephone.

A judge has stated: "Britney is to have telephonic contact with the minor children."

"All prior orders remain in full force and effect."

She is still banned from seeing two-year-old Preston and Jayden, who is one-year-old,

Meanwhile, Barbara Walters – a respected US TV journalist and friend of the Spears family – has told journalists that Britney has seen a psychiatrist.

She added that the 26-year-old "is suffering from what he describes as mental issues which are treatable."
 
"She has been having mood swings. She's been having trouble sleeping, and also she is in touch with her mother - 'cause we had heard she wasn't - and her mother has been very supportive of whatever it is that Britney is going to do."
