Hugh's Approved Scarlett's Man

Hugh Jackman’s given former costar Scarlett Johansson’s choice in men the thumbs up.

She’s been dating his 31-year-old X-Men colleague Ryan Reynolds for ages.

Hugh’s told Entertainment Tonight Canada: "Ryan Reynolds is one of the funniest guys I've ever met."
 
"And umm, we had a really good chat about his girlfriend, because I'm very fond of Scarlett, and both my wife and I are very proprietary about Scarlett, and he got a big thumbs up from me."

He added: "I'm giving my blessing, exactly. He's phenomenal."

Hugh and Scarlett have become good friends after starring alongside each other in a number of films including the Woody Allen movie Scoop and magic drama The Prestige.
