George Clooney’s had the premiere of his latest movie in his home town.
The Hollywood A-lister has debuted Leatherheads at Mayville's Washington Opera House.
He told the Louisville Courier-Journal he is just like the 3,000 fans who waited outside to see him, saying: "I'm just like them. I just happen to be a little more famous.”
Co-star Renée Zellweger also walked the red carpet.
Mayor David Cartmell estimated that one-third of the town's population had gathered for the event.
George added: "They really are family."
"If you're from a small town, you don't really ever shake that. It's the best support system and they're always the biggest critics, which is kind of the fun of it."
Also standing in the cold was Carrie Appelman, who went to Augusta High with the 46-year-old.
She revealed: "He was a goofball. He was just fun."
As proof, she brought a cartoon he drew for her in school. And he signed it: "To Carrie with love. Your lover, George."
