Dr Who Vs Catherine Tate

Doctor Who star David Tennant will go head-to-head with his TV sidekick Catherine Tate at this year's National Television Awards.

They've both been nominated in the Outstanding Drama Performance category for their roles as the Timelord and his assistant Donna Noble.

Other nominees include Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor in the Most Popular Talent Show category.

The Apprentice and Top Gear will battle it out for Most Popular Factual Programme.
