More Police on the Beat

The Met Police have announced they're to have 75 extra officers on our streets - following the 18th teenager to be murdered in London this year.

16 year old Shakilus Townsend was the 6th person to be stabbed to death in our city this week - when he was killed in Thornton Heath yesterday.

The initiative will run in conjunction with Operation Blunt 2 - which is an ongoing attempt to crack down on knife crime.
