Create your own Olympics

With the Olympics everywhere at the moment, what better time to get your kids out and about, creating your own Olympics.

You can create whatever events you like, but we have picked out a few that could be fun. You could even have a Board Games version, giving out medals for Scrabble, Jenga and Hungry Hippos!

Suggested events:
Football - Dribbling a football around some cones in the quickest time possible
Athletics - Relay race between teams of four
Shot put - Who can flick a pea the furthest?
Gymnastics - Doing a handstand for as long as possible
Diving - Who can dive the furthest into a swimming pool?
Cycling - Who can cycle around the park the quickest?
Synconised swimming - An overground dance routine on some wheely chairs
