Coolio's Reality Comeback

Coolio’s comeback is underway.

The rapper – who topped the pop charts in 1995 with the Grammy-winning tune Gangsta's Paradise – is to star in his own reality TV show.

Called Coolio & The Gang, it will follow him as he raises six teenagers by himself, while maintaining his career and launching a clothing line.

The six half hour episodes will air on US cable channel Oxygen in late Spring next year.

Debby Beece, president of programming and marketing at Oxygen, explained: "Coolio is a single dad raising kids, and it's got a lot of unconventional parenting aspects to it. He wants his kids to do as he says, not as he does."

No word yet on when, or if, it’ll get to UK TV screens.
