Half Term at National Portrait Gallery. - 11:30AM 23/10/2007
location - National Portrait Gallery
22nd to 26th October 11.30am - 2pm Free Inspired by the Pop Art Portraits exhibition on show at the gallery, this half term at National Portrait Gallery kids can get involved with all kinds of fun art inspired activities. From making their own large scale portraits based on the work of Andy Warhol, to creating a large hanging portrait using screen printing techniques, there is plenty to be inspired by. Create an outfit made from string inspired by the Pop Art Ghost Wardrobe, some brilliant badges to take home and wear and a moving collage card. Although this is a free event, any of the activities taking place over half term at National Portrait Gallery require tickets from the deck in the main hall.

A cracking place to take the little 'uns this October half term, Kew Bridge Steam Museum has everything you've ever wanted so know about steam power and how important it was through the Industrial Revolution. Creepy Creatures - 10:00AM 23/10/2007
location - Lonodn Wetlands Centre
From Saturday 20th - Sunday 28th October the London Wetland Centre will be hosting a Creepy Creatures show, where visitors can take a tour of all the scary little fellas in wildlife can be found. Make your own bug mask or costume, go pond dipping, go slimy snail racing and make and decorate a mini-beast hotel. For further information click below.
