Kids can get to grips with the world of Gaugin's Tahitian paintings during Black History Month at Somerset House. Exploring the theme of the Dream Time, the Courtald Institute Art Gallery inspires the children at the workshop to create their own dream murals. This is a free event to attend, but tickets must be collected from the Seaman's Hall on a first come, first served basis from 1pm on the day.

Classical Caribbean Charity Ball, held on Saturday, 20 October 2007 at Porchester Banqueting Hall, Bayswater, London W2 5HS at 6pm – 12 pm
The ASL Fundraising Association is excited to be hosting their first Classical Caribbean Ball in aid of The Sickle Cell Society. This chic and innovative approach to entertainment will take place on Saturday 20th October 2007 at the Porchester Hall in London’s elegant Bayswater.
This event will take the form of an elegant dinner and dance, accompanied by the Joe Carty Steel Explosion and of course, the fantastic globally acclaimed Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra as well as soloist Vinnette Diva. Naturally, the sumptuous three course menu will include a variety of mouth watering treats all of which will be accompanied by a selection of fine wines to enhance the dining experience.
In addition to the culinary delights of the evening there will be other treats to feast, on including the ASL Charity Auction where guests will have a chance to join in the fun of bidding on some fabulous items to delight both themselves and their loved ones.
