Britney's Kid Sis Expecting

Britney Spears had no idea about her 16-year-old sister’s pregnancy until she read it in a magazine.

A friend of the 26-year-old singer – who has two children of her own with ex-husband Kevin Federline – has told People magazine in the US: "This is going to kill her."

"In the end, she'll be supportive, but this is a big shock."

Jamie Lynn Spears told OK! magazine in the States: "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected."

"I was in complete and total shock and so was he."

The father of the child is her long time boyfriend Casey Aldridge.

Jamie Lynn added: "I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision."

"Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."
