New places to eat
Isn't it great when you discover a top new place to eat in town? Near where I live there's loads of great restaurants but the other night I was with some friends in Bayswater (we'd been to see Deacon Blue play at the Hammersmith Apollo) and we were just trying to find somewhere that was still open.
My friends who live outside London usually do the whole 'I thought London was supposed to be a 24-hour city, so why is everywhere closed?', but I must admit we were struggling to find a restaurant to let us in. It was only about 11pm, and we wondering around being turned away by place after place. After about 7 or 8 "sorry's" we were just about to call it quits when we stumbled across a tiny Lebanese restaurant who welcomed us in.
The food was great and I'm really glad we ended up there because in the future I know a secret place to head to after a gig. The only downside is... I can't for the life of me remember what it's called!
