Chasing Pavements (Part 15!)

Only 10 days to go!!GJ Gym Globe.jpg

Feet now firmly up for the next week and a half. Anyone who has trained for a Marathon before will tell you this is the loveliest part of the training. They call it ”tapering off”. A fancy phrase. To you & me it simply means “loafing”. And after 7 long months of training, I like the sound of it.

But before I got to rest the weary tootsies, there was one more P/T session to complete at the gym. Steve, my fitness instructor / chief leg-basher has done a brilliant job in getting me ready for the Marathon this year. He’s encouraged, gently nudged and, on occasions, played the `Harvey from Celebrity Fit Club’ shouty role in getting me to really push myself. He even claims he’s noticed something of a six-pack starting to emerge in the regions of my tum. It’s well hidden, let me tell you (the six-pack that is, not the belly which is itself only too clear for all to see!)

Fitness Instructor Steve does, I think you’ll agree, take a unique approach to exercise. Have a look at these snaps from my final P/T session & ask yourself this. Is Steve really training me for…..

GJ Gym Plate The Marathon??

Or….

The circus??

Note the sensibly-placed traffic cones in some of the pictures. Health & Safety first!!!!

Must dash, the sofa’s calling – I’ve got some serious `tapering off’ to do during a Midsomer Murders re-run!

Big love

Gx
