Apologies for being rubbish with blogging - I can't even remember the last time!
Hope you're enjoying Wimbledon tennis, if you've either been, or have seen some on tv.
I must say it's such a great time of year to live in the Wimbledon area, as I do. It's full of atmosphere & a great vibe... In fact, I'd say it's worth a visit even if you don't have a ticket for the tennis... just to soak up the fun. The village is brilliant anyway, & during this fortnight becomes really special! Check out the Dog & Fox pub, Cannizaro Park, the common amongst others...Good day for Tim Henman - let's hope that continues...! Into the second round we go...
Another great place to visit...Brighton.
Had
a great weekend there with girlfriend Jules as an anniversary
celebration... we stayed in The Grand hotel, booked up a lovely French
restauarant for the Saturday evening, then had a walk around 'The
Lanes' - quite famous for boutique shops... art, clothes, cafes...Quite
quirky & cool. Then we visited the Royal Pavilion, which was built
for King George IV between 1815-1822. An amazing palace, with stunning
& creative decoration & incredible detail... Very elaborate,
and very much worth seeing. I used to live in Brighton about 7 years
ago & I hadn't really been back many times at all, so it was lovely
to be there again, and a lot of the places I knew from before were
still there going strong, which is good!
My 'to-do' list is pretty extensive at the moment... a few things that have been on there for a very long time (boring things tend to linger for a while I find...) Also recently added is 'Train for cycle ride' - this is 'Palace to Palace' for the Princes Trust which I'm doing with Toby, Nick, Emma & our main man Phil Riley. It feels like it's ages away (Sept.16th), but I know time will go so quickly & I'll suddenly start to panic...
Also - I was talking about this on the show last night actually - if you're on 'Facebook' - look me up - Paul Hayes (London network)!
Have a good day... May see you on Henman Hill.
