Rowing over who is in control of the remote control could become a thing of the past.  Scientists have come up with technology that will allow you to simply make hand gestures at your TV to control it.  For example raising your hand in a stop sign will pause the program and flapping your hand up or down will raise or lower the volume.  You will never loose your remote again!  I can see a few problems though, what if you stretch at a vital part of a program and it fast forwards it on?

On the subject of telly it's the grand finale of Big Brother tonight on Channel 4 although I don't know anybody who is watching it this year.  You know they've got problems when they big up the adverts in between the programmes.  Remember the drum playing gorilla in the Cadbury's ad who drummed along to Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight?  Well he's back tonight and he will play along to Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. I can't wait!
