Diary of a Bad Mother

Week 8

High point of the week – am planning a Big Night Out for a couple of weeks time to see a few mates and catch up and get drunk and generally forget I’ve got kids.  Low point – it’s still ages away!  She is still called the Sumo but Oscar keeps wandering around saying Bickbee so that has kind of stuck too.  Just noticed she has really hairy ears.  He has taken to kissing her – rather roughly and rather frequently, and it mostly ends in tears (hers)!  Have been talking to work about my return…want to go back 2 days a week, and want to do it for the same money.  Or more.  That’ll be easy then.  Keen to keep working cos a – we could do with the money, and b have heard stories of people who are out of work while they have their babes and then can’t get back into it at all – no skills, no interests, been out of it for too long and becomes bored rigid.  And then as we all know you go on a spending spree to feel better.  And then it just spirals out of control…

Low point of the week - diet starting today too, had enough of the love handles.  Am going to do only 3 meals a day, no 2nd helpings and no puddings.  No booze and no choc.  Should be fine.  Fingers crossed…Other low point – she had her injections today.   We both cried.

Beginning to start getting her into a routine which is great, although she is trying her hardest not to!  Oscar got himself into a great routine without any help from me – he was the world’s most amazing baby.  Luckily I did appreciate him as I knew I couldn’t be lucky twice!  If I’d had this baby first right now I’m not that sure there would have been another one..
