Got a bit of surprise when I woke up this morning. Having a shave, looked out the window and saw a ring of white feathers at the bottom of the garden.
Then noticed, to my annoyance, that all the daffs and tulips on one side of the garden were flat on the earth. Petals and stalks everywhere. And assuming I hadn't sleep walked out there and along the flower beds, who or what was culpable?
I went out to have a closer look before jumping in the car and coming to work. Noticed something's been digging under the fence as well. Blimey, the joys of having a garden. This is when you want one of those infra red cameras filming it all at night as they do on wildlife documentaires. The weirdest thing about it, these white feathers were in an almost perfect circle.
Is it the bird equivalent of a crop circle left by aliens coming to have a nosey around my garden, or is it the remains of a midnight fight between a fox and a.....what? If it was an animal, what has pure white feathers, and might be lurking around a garden in the early hours? It's not like I've got white chickens out the back... well not yet anyway. Got a fig tree, but that's about the nearest you'll get to food!
So, what happened in my garden last night?
Has anything like this ever happened at your place?
Can you shed any light on this mystery?
