Where's My Kitchen Gone?

If you've watched the " Fasterchef" video on this web site, you'll have seen me creating the culinary delight known to....well a few more people now, as a Cheesey Beano. Have you tried it yet? (If you haven't seen it, just click here to enjoy the best meal ever!)

Well, that was all filmed in my kitchen at home. A kitchen which is now in tatters. Looks like a bomb's hit it. The builders started ripping it all out ready to put in a new one later this week. And it is a mess! The walls are being hacked off, the floor broken up, the units lobbed outside, and we found a dead mouse behind the cooker. URRRGGHH!

Never had builders in at anywhere i've lived before, so this is a quite an experience already. They're doing a top job, but i think i've just realised i probably should have stayed at a mate's place while they finish the job. It's a mad house. And i have no cooker. Can't even do us a cheese beano! Think i might become quite well known at the local Pizza Hut and Nando's over the next fortnight. Maybe i should have booked in to a hotel? Have you been in this situation before. Takes you a bit by surprise. Mum asked if i wanted to stay back there with them while they do the work. But you know what, i just can't do it. Last time i did that, i was 21. I'm 28 now (ha ha!), don't like the thought of being nagged to do the washing up and rake the leaves off the lawn at the weekend. Only just had to start doing that myself at my own house! Love 'em really.

Also, you should see the sack of black gunk they flushed out of the heating system before they fitted the new boiler. A whole sackful. Don't how the radiators even got warm with all that stuff stuck in the pipes. Now, blimy they're so hot you could probably toast bread on them. Come to that, i may have to!
