"Garlic is no longer the kiss of death."
Well thank god for that, i've just eaten spaghetti soaked in olive oil and garlic, and i'm about to meet someone at the pub.
Still not sure this particular article I just read in the paper is necessarily going to mean she won't do a runner after one glass of wine. I've done the "blow on the palm of your hand" test and nearly choked myself!
I also remember someone once saying if you have a cold you should swallow a whole clove with water, and then as it disperses around your body swiftly kills the bug off. Can't say i've tried it. Find it hard enough swallowing one of those garlic capsules, let alone a whole blimin clove!
On the subject of capsules, do you take any supplements in capsule form? Garlic maybe? I have a large capsule of cod liver oil every morning before work (occasionally garlic too). And they're fine, but every now and again you let out a little burp, and that RANK taste of fish oil in your mouth! Have you had that? Plain nasty isn't it?
So you can imagine my surprise when I went into a health food shop the other day to buy some more, and the chap in there asks if i'd prefer to have it in liquid form. WHAT, cod liver oil, neat! Straight into the mouth, is he having a laugh?! Who is mad enough to do that? One tea spoon of that and you'd scare off everyone in the pub, let alone your date!
Nope, thank you, just the capsules please.
