My Night With Ant and Dec

All i can say is, watch out London next weekend! This awful chest infection and cold has kept me in against my will for long enough. I'm almost good and ready to party! Don't want to go on about it, but it is probably the worst and most frustrating bug i've ever had. And i was amazed at how quickly it took hold.

Last Saturday, not too bad. Had that slightly "ooh, think i might be coming down with something" feeling, then Sunday morning, woke up sweating, couldn't get out of bed. Shivered all day. Then couple off days in the week. Got anti-biotics from the doc. It's now Saturday night, still swigging cough mixture out of a plastic lid like a shot of sambuca!

We have also got a nice hot curry order. Can't wait for that. Sometimes nothing better than cuddling up at home, bit of tv, take away (Ant and Dec's included). Lovely! And the England rugby of course.

Oh, got to quickly say, after doing Ant and Dec's Take Away last Saturday, what superb guys they are. I met them back in the day in Newcastle when i was on the BBC every afternoon. We did our first outside broadcast from the Mitre centre where they filmed Byker Grove (Ooh Byker!).

It was around the time Duncan (Dec) was blinded in that paintball match, remember that? Or was it PJ who went blind?? Anyway, they were cracking lads then. Now, all the fame, wealth blah blah, and they still had time during their hectic live show to come and say thank you, personally. Thought that was very generous of them. (Not sure if they've actually grown though, since doing Byker?!)
