Mr flat pack fitter

Think i've spotted a niche in the market for something.

A mobile flat pack putter-upper.....you know what I mean, someone you can call as soon as you're home from Homebase or wherever. I got the new garden furniture outisde, but i'm struggling with assembling it, because the instructions are so blimin unclear, you need help. That's where my idea comes in. Call up Mr Flat Pack Fitter, he comes over on his moped, puts the table and chairs together for you. Simple.

I know some of those DIY places offer some kind of similar service, but not when it's like something you take home and need sorting out there and then. You could have all these fitters on mopeds, bit like the pizza delivery people. Call up a number, and they send the nearest one to you. Got your garden table and barbeque up in no time. What do you reckon?

Guess where i've been to this afternoon? If I say the word catelogue...yep you know me by now, i've been to Argos in Shepherds Bush. I've been there so much recently, we're all first name terms! Got a little barbeque. Those disposable tray jobbies are fine, but you can't alter the height of the grill, so I find everything burns too quickly. So I got a proper one. It was only £8.99. While I was there, there was reduced price garden furniture so I went for it. I needed extra couple of chairs for tonight, as the whole family are coming up for dinner. Mum, dad, sister and bro in law. But what a nightmare getting it together. I ended up having to call Dan the chap who did my kitchen and bathroom a few weeks ago. He was in the area, generoulsy popped on by, sorted it out. And that's what got me thinking about the mobile flat pack fitters. I know I could have done with one.

Mind you, how anyone can comprehend those assembly instructions is beyond me.

Left to me, i'd have ended up with less of a table, and more of raft, with a red parasol for a sail!
