"Sweet Caroline, da da da........!"   That'll be me on Saturday night!

A dream is about to be fulfilled. An Audience with Neil Diamond. Oh yes. I'm very excited about it. It's not a personal audience with him I hasten to add. One of those ITV shows, where they perform and take questions from UK celebrities they've probably never heard of, even though they generally do a pretty good job hiding it. "Oh, is that the lovely Danielle Lloyd. Hi Dan, what's your question........."  

Ain't gonna happen. Well not with Neil Diamond surely. The thing is, so many people are real Diamond fans, even if they keep it a little bit quiet. I'm happy to say I like some of his stuff, the classics, but I generally don't make a song and dance about it. I listened to 'Love on the Rocks' just the other day actually. Singing along to it in the shower. Then a bit of 'Forever In Blue Jeans'. I love it!

Recently on that "Guilty Pleasures" tv show on ITV1, I went on and said mine had to be 'Sweet Caroline'. Now in a strange twist of fate, i'm going to be singing along to it with the legend who wrote it about 10 feet away from me. Now that's what I call a proper karaoke session!

The person i've asked to come along with me was euphoric when I asked her at the weekend. She's even texted me twice to say how much she's looking forward to it. You see, the Diamond has that effect on people.
