National Compost week, what's that all about?!
Compost I suppose, but in what capacity? Are we all supposed to dump a heap of it in the middle of the garden and worship the stuff?? I'm not even entirely sure what it is. I do know the previous owners of my house "kindly" left me a large bin of it at the bottom of the garden. How lovely of them. And I should think the odd bird or squirrel has found sanctuary in it, but otherwise i'm none the wiser. Then a package arrives for me on reception at Heart yesterday. With the sun out and everything, I start to get excited thinking those beautiful people at Walls have sent me some ice creams for everyone, as they frequently did last summer, god bless 'em. But no. NO in a big way. I'd been couriered a large white china pot of......COMPOST!! What the...?
Well, I didn't know what to do with it. Can't exactly share that around like ice cream! I ended up walking around with it as if I was carrying someone's ashes. The pot was more like an earn. How funny. I do get sent all sorts of things, but never a helping of blimin COMPOST.
What next......a flask of bark chippings for National Wood Week! Can't wait.

PS. I headed off to DJ for the Prime Minister at Downing Street last night. Lets just say I was a tad nervous. Listen to the show today to hear all about it.
