I need to get into the Mini-Pen Market!

You know that bit in the film "Cocktail", when Tom Cruise and his particularly attractive blond girlfriend are sitting by the lagoon, sipping cocktails, bizarrely enough. They're talking about the weird and wonderful inventions that have made the creators hugely rich. Those mini umbrellas they put in cocktail glasses, Del Boy-style being one of them.

There are loads like that when you start thinking about it. The guy who invented bubble wrap, or the inventor of Cats Eyes, The Tetra Pack, that little thing on the end of an optic in a pub which you push the glass against, and it delivers a measure.

And another one, which I thought about when I was shopping yesterday in Shepherds Bush. In Argos yet again (think I'm getting an addiction to catalogue shopping, seriously! It's like being in a department store, where you can get everything under one roof. But instead of having to go up and down escalators, and find stuff, you just flick through the book, and buy. Love it. Sorry, I digress). Tell you who else is minted. The people who manufacture those little blue Argos pens. How many people take them home, often without realising? And the store have to keep ordering more. Like those brilliant blue Ikea bags that we all use for laundry. Come on, bet you have some point in your life!

Also, the people who print the Argos catelogue itself. Blimey, how many times does that thing change over the course of a month, let alone a year. Different offers, products, the lot. And how thick is it? Always a massive pile of them at the entrance as well. Got to be good money in those.
