Male and Female Bonding
So I've been reading various comment pieces on the upcoming Sex in The City movie and it got me thinking about me and my girlfriends and the way we spend our time together, how we bond.
Over the weekend I took one of my rather stressed girlfriends to see The Kooks at Brixton Academy, it was an early birthday present for her. What amused me most was the love being shown amongst the men there, they were hugging and swaying with arms linked and clambering on one and others shoulders. I know music has an affect but this was almost endearing!!
I'm still yet to understand - why do people throw beer at gigs, is it that they've just had enough and can't bare to drink anymore or are they so generous that they really want to share their booze.
The following night I had another of my girlfriends round for dinner as we both needed an early, alcohol free night. So we had a very healthy meal and then sat painting our toes, drinking herbal tea and discussing the various men in our lives. We both agreed just how hard we can be to please, despite both agreeing that its the simple things in life that matter. It's no surprise that guys get so confused about what we want!
I chuckled to myself about just how different the sexes are as a boys night in would be oh so different!
My friend and I finished our healthy meal with FAB ice lollies, which I thought would be a nice trip down memory lane...I was slightly disappointed with the size of the lolly in general and the severe lack of sprinkles, so be warned!
Until next time
