Passport Control...

Let this be a word of warning, if you're going away and you know your passport is due to expire - check you have 6 months grace left on it!!!

I'm off on my hols on Thursday morn and last night it occured to me that maybe I should check that I was OK to travel as my passport runs out in August.  Good job I checked as I wouldn't have been able to go, so after a full on panic session with the man at the end of the phone at Passport control I was booked in to go for the premium fast track passport  - costing me £114! AAAH!

Just so you know - the passport people are there 24 hours, which was my saving grace as I really was in a flap. I've got the form and the pictures, which in itself is amusing.  Do you realise how many rules there are as to how you should look on your passport picture?  I'm off to get my new one tomorrow.

Then assuming I don't get refused  - i'll be jumping on a plane.  Fingers crossed.

I just wanted to share my newly found wisdom seeing as the sun is finally shining, spring is here and holiday season is fast approaching. Don't get caught out with the old pass-a-porte!!
