It seems like the dream team who gave us the classic comedy There’s Something About Mary might have lost their touch.
The Heartbreak Kid – the latest collaboration between Ben Stiller and the Farrelly brothers – has failed to set the box office alight on it’s opening weekend.
In the US it took just $14 million and taking second pace at the box office.
Studio bosses were expecting a much higher return after the last Stiller-Farelly
outing opened to $13.7 million but went on to become one of 1998's top hits at $176.5 million.
We’ll find out how UK audiences have reacted to the movie when figures are released in the next 24-48 hours.
