What's it about? A small-time rancher agrees to hold a captured outlaw who's awaiting a train to go to court and a battle of wills ensues.
What type of film is it? Western
Is it any good? It’s tense, it’s gritty and it’s very different to anything that’s been around at the cinema or on DVD for a while so it’s refreshing, if a little heavy. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe are worthy opponents as they toy with each other and their relationship develops. Gripping stuff but not something you can dip in and out of.
